D*Face in Melbourne

dFace

Good timing to attend the exhibition of the great street artist Made in London: D*Face!
He created a huge exhibition for his first time in Australia. He chose Melbourne to show his artwork at the Metro Gallery. This gallery organised the exhibition of Swoon, Above, Blek le Rat and others previously.

To know more about the artist, check out his website: www.dface.co.uk

I really enjoyed the set up in the gallery, which you can see with a few images below:

D*Face showed his sculpture too:

And an artwork I didn’t know before, which is based on butterflies, interesting and with delicate details:

To conclude with the exhibition, this is an installation with Snoopy, playing with the ’1′:

It seems that the exhibition was a huge success, we saw a lot of red dots!
If you are around, don’t hesitate to run and see the exhibition, you have until Friday, the 11th of November 2011!

That’s not all! Walking randomly in the city we fell accross a couple of his pieces in Federation Square (close to Flinders Street Station)!
There are spraycans made in concrete which stick out of the ground! Amazing installation by D*Face and we are happy to have seen it live in the streets! Nice contrast with his exhibition…
